Shellharbour Swans - Club Training

If you are unable to make it registration can be accepted at any training session.

All chidren participating in training should be dressed appropriately and bring a water bottle with them

Any cancellation or postponement due to weather conditions will be posted on the main page of thge Club's website for easy access. As a guide we are unable to use the Club Ground for any purpose if the grounds have been closed by Shellharbour City Council.

REGULAR TRAINING

Training for all age groups except Auskick (under 8) is held from 4pm to 5pm on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon at the Clubs home ground Myimbarr Community Park Wattle Road Shellharbour. Auskick training is only conducted on Tuesday afternoon however any enthusiasts who turn up on Thursday will be accommodated for in the under 9's training for the night. Saturdays for Auskick consist of training and a "make-up" game once the competition starts for the other age groups

CLUB RESPONSIBILITY

The Club coaching staff take every opportunity to remain up to date on recommended training activities and are versed in Club Policy on Child protection and Risk Management. All Club Coaches are AFL level 1 accredited coaches recognised by the Australian Sports Commission

The Children should be encouraged to support their decisions and follow their instructions as the decisions are made in their best interest

PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

It is the parent's/ carer's responsibility to have the children attend the coaching classes on time and to be picked up at the completion of each training and game activity. If there are any situations where the normal practice cannot be followed parents are encouraged to speak directly with the coach for the age group or Coaching coordinator

We encourage all parents / carers to play an active role in the children's AFL experience and welcome all parents to participate in training activities and on game day.
